Sewsie is a small, one-person handmade goods business, not a data-driven company. This site is built to be as simple as possible, and that keeps this policy short.

1. What this site actually collects

This site does not have an account sign-up, contact form, newsletter sign-up, or comment section, and it does not run analytics or advertising trackers. Browsing the site or the shop page does not send any personal information (like your name, email or address) to Sewsie — the shop only reads live product and stock data.

2. Hosting and technical data

Like any website, the server or platform hosting this site may automatically log basic technical information for security and performance purposes — things like IP address, browser type, device type, and pages requested. This is standard web-server behaviour, not something Sewsie collects or reviews individually, and it isn't used to identify you personally.

3. Cookies and local storage

This site does not set cookies or use local storage to track you across visits. It does use your browser's local storage for one functional purpose: remembering what's in your shopping cart between pages, so it doesn't empty if you navigate around the site. That cart data stays on your device and is only sent onward (to Square) at the moment you choose to check out.

4. When you actually share information

Any personal information involved in buying an item is shared directly with a third-party platform, not with this site:

Square — when you click "Buy now" or check out your cart, this site asks Square to generate a checkout link for those specific items, and you're taken to Square's own checkout page to enter your payment and shipping details. Those details are handled entirely by Square, under Square's own Privacy Policy, and are never seen or stored by this site.
Instagram — messages sent through Instagram (for example, asking a question about an order) are handled through Instagram/Meta's messaging system, under Instagram's own Privacy Policy.

Sewsie only uses information you send through those channels to make and arrange delivery of what you've ordered, and doesn't sell or share it with anyone else.

5. Children's privacy

This site isn't directed at children, and Sewsie doesn't knowingly collect personal information from children through this site.

6. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the site or business changes. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
